The word “quibblesnort” is a playful combination of “quibble” (a minor objection or argument) and “snort” (a sound often associated with derision or suppressed laughter). This type of word formation, where two existing words are combined to create a new concept, is called a “portmanteau.” Portmanteaus are a common source of new slang terms and often capture complex ideas in a concise, memorable way.
